Description
The coin is a standard circulating coin under the BSP Series, which replaced the 5-piso banknote, where the denomination switched to coins. The obverse features Emilio Aguinaldo, the Philippines' first president and the leader of Filipino forces against the Spaniards. The reverse features the seal of the Bangko Sentral, along with the year of its establishment as a legal institution. The coin is common and remains in circulation.
