Description
The coin was a standard circulating coin under the Ang Bagong Lipunan Series. It features Melchora Aquino, known as “Mother of the Philippine Revolution,” as she provided support to Katipunan fighters. The coin is common due to its high mintage. It was later demonetized on January 2, 1998, as per BSP Circular No. 81, Series of 1995.
