Description
The coin was a standard circulating coin under the Ang Bagong Lipunan Series. It features Francisco Baltasar, who wrote the epic of “Florante at Laura” to secretly criticize abuses under Spanish rule. The coin is common due to its high mintage. It was later demonetized on January 2, 1998, as per BSP Circular No. 81, Series of 1995.
